Water supply in some areas of Palermo stopped due to a pipeline malfunction: minimal inconvenience.
This morning maintenance work began on a water leak on the main supply pipeline along Viale Regione Siciliana, carried out by Amap technicians. The municipal company has planned to suspend water supply in the following districts: subnetwork 10 Calatafimi-Roccella, subnetwork 11 Noce-Uditore, Bonagia-Falsomiele, and surrounding areas. The intervention started at 8 am and will be completed by 6 pm. The inconvenience for the affected areas will be minimal, with no concerns for the hospital or large condominiums that have cisterns. Some minor issues may occur for some shops, but water supply will be restored after the intervention and will normalize within 24 hours, barring any unforeseen circumstances. Amap advises that the resumption of water supply may lead to a slight increase in water turbidity, which will quickly return to normal.
