This lively town on the north coast of Sicily, at the foot of Capo Milazzo, is a destination full of attractions.

Being the main entrance to the Aeolian Islands, all those wishing to visit this beautiful archipelago must pass by Milazzo to embark towards Lipari, Vulcano, Stromboli, Panarea, Alicudi or Salina.
Among the main attractions of Milazzo, the Duomo Antico is one of the largest and most important.
Built in the 17th century, it houses valuable monuments and sculptures.

The ancient village, dating back to the fifteenth century, is the most fascinating part of the city.
Here you will find the Viceroy and Governor’s Palace, the Polyphemus Cave and several historic churches.
Walking through the streets of the ancient village, you can breathe the atmosphere of the past and you can get lost in the shady streets and houses of the center.
The beaches of Milazzo and its surroundings, such as Spiaggia di Ponente, are appreciated by local residents.
The Spiaggia di Ponente offers equipped and free stretches, clear waters and fine sand.
The Venus Pool, a beautiful natural pool between the rocks, offers a unique experience for snorkeling and relaxation.

For those who want to make a short stop in Milazzo during the trip to the Aeolian Islands, the IllusionVille Museum is an interesting attraction dedicated to illusions.
To reach Milazzo, from Messina it takes a little over half an hour along the A20 motorway towards Palermo, exiting at the Milazzo – Aeolian Islands exit.
From Catania or Fontanarossa airport, follow the A18 motorway to Messina and then continue on the A20, with a journey of about an hour and 30 minutes.
