Paternò evades house arrest to sell drugs: had 133 doses of marijuana at home, now in prison.

In Paternò, the carabinieri arrested a 29-year-old who was under house arrest for drug offenses after finding him in possession of 256 grams of marijuana (with 133 pre-packaged doses), two precision scales, and 150 euros in cash. The drugs were hidden in a wall cavity in the hallway of his house. The 29-year-old was also charged with evasion. The soldiers recognized him a few minutes earlier among three people caught talking to each other in via Bengasi. The three had fled at the sight of the soldiers. The young man, confined to the piazza Lanza prison, was placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities, who validated his arrest and ordered his continued detention pending the hearing.
