Mobile agents arrested in Palermo allegedly disposed of 13 kg of hashish to engage in deals with pushers.

Two vice superintendents of the police were arrested for corruption, embezzlement, and falsification. They are accused of doing business with drug dealers, providing protection and confidential information in exchange for money and motorcycles. One of the officers allegedly bought five vehicles worth a total of €67,300, incompatible with his income. Another disturbing aspect is the disappearance of thirteen kilograms of hashish that were supposed to be destroyed but ended up back on the market. The drugs were allegedly sold by a dealer who then shared the proceeds with the corrupt policemen. The investigations also revealed audio and video evidence of the officers’ involvement.
