Catania, man arrested for physically assaulting and threatening partner with a knife

A 46-year-old man has been arrested in Catania, Italy, for alleged domestic abuse. He is accused of hitting and threatening his partner with a knife, as well as punching his son who tried to defend her. The incident occurred in front of their underage daughter, who was left in tears. The man had temporarily left home due to ongoing arguments but returned on April 4th, demanding money to buy more alcohol. When his partner gave him €20, he returned home and attacked their son before threatening her with a knife. Following the incident, the woman and her children were moved to a relative’s home, but the man continued to send her death threats. He has now been taken into custody.
