Young man in Catania arrested for having two pistols and two rifles at home
The police in Catania arrested a 23-year-old man for illegal possession of firearms, receiving stolen goods, and unlawful possession of various calibers of ammunition. The arrest took place on the morning of April 19, during patrols aimed at controlling the area and combating drug trafficking in the Pigno district. The mobile squad officers carried out a home search at the young man’s residence looking for weapons or drugs. When the police arrived, the man threw a bag in the garden containing a .357 magnum revolver with 6 bullets, a .38 special revolver, a 12 gauge shotgun, and a double-barreled 12 gauge shotgun. However, the police were also at the back of the house and observed everything. 158 cartridges of various calibers were also confiscated in the house. After the formalities were completed, the young man was taken to Catania Piazza Lanza prison.
