Worker dies trapped between elevator cabin and door, tragedy in Aci Sant’Antonio

A 31-year-old elevator maintenance worker died after getting trapped between the elevator car and the door on a floor of a condominium in Aci Sant’Antonio where he was working. The man’s body was freed by firefighters from the Acireale detachment of the Catania provincial command. Emergency medical services confirmed the man’s death. A woman who was inside the elevator car was treated by medical personnel for shock. The Carabinieri also intervened on the scene for further investigation.
