Uil Sicilia: Workers still without pay – Training
The article explains that, four months after the approval of the regional budget, the departments of the various councils are still unable to issue a large part of the spending titles. The most affected sector, in this case, is that of Professional Training, which employs around three thousand workers.
In particular, the workers already engaged in courses for adults have not received their salary since January. Those for minors are currently covered, as they have received an advance of 70% of the allocated funding.
The alarm is raised by Giuseppe Raimondi of the Uil Sicilia union, who adds: “We have been saying this for some time, there needs to be more attention from the Regional offices. It is necessary to provide aligned data as soon as possible. Families have been waiting for too long, those responsible must intervene immediately and find effective solutions. It is not acceptable that, since the approval of the budget, we are still working to link previous years to the new financial year.”
