Schifani: “Prosecutor’s approval for the use of seized ships, ensuring connections to the minor islands”

The Public Prosecutor’s Office of Messina has allowed the use of the confiscated ships from “Caronte & Tourist Isole Minori” for regular services to and from the minor islands, under the guidance of the judicial administration to which they have been entrusted. This decision was made in response to concerns expressed by the Sicilian Region regarding the provision of these services. The Regional Government is pleased with the Prosecutor’s decision, as it ensures the essential services for residents, businesses, and tourists visiting the islands. The company involved also believes that the seized ships are suitable for safe and comfortable transportation and is confident that their reasons will be recognized in the legal process.
