Police in Catania arrest man for sexually assaulting a minor in Stesicoro square
A 24-year-old man who had pinned a 14-year-old girl by the arm and repeatedly touched her breast has been arrested by the Flying Squad of the Catania Police for sexual assault. The incident took place in the central area of Piazza Stesicoro. In defense of the minor, some of her friends, the mother of one of them, and two young foreigners intervened.
It was the girl who reported the incident to the Police, who intervened after the presence of some individuals harassing young girls was reported. The 24-year-old, a homeless Moroccan, was detained by the Police and taken to the Police Station, where the victim, accompanied by her parents, also went to formalize the complaint.
The 24-year-old has been arrested for sexual assault against a minor and taken to prison awaiting a hearing before the judge for validation.
