New Palermo Environment Councillor Alongi shines spotlight on Rap: “I will take a room in the company”

Pietro Alongi, close to President Renato Schifani, has taken on the leadership of the Department of Environmental Policies, Urban Greenery, and Environmental Hygiene in the Municipality of Palermo. He also oversees functional relations with Rap, and believes that city cleanliness is a fundamental aspect of the entire administration’s actions. He intends to be fully involved in the matter and has reassured that the funds the company is awaiting will be transferred soon. He acknowledges the difficulties in hiring at the moment but is working to find a temporary solution, especially for the urgently needed 46 drivers. Alongi is committed to making Palermo a “normal” city in terms of waste management within a year. He is working tirelessly towards this goal.
