Misterbianco man hides marijuana in ice cream container: arrested

The carabinieri of the Misterbianco district, with the help of the canine unit, arrested a 43-year-old convicted criminal for drug possession with intent to sell. The carabinieri went to the man’s home in the morning, which they were already aware of due to previous legal issues. During a search, the dog Riley detected a hidden ice cream container on a terrace, containing nearly 200 grams of marijuana. Some of the marijuana was divided into eight doses, suggesting it was intended for distribution. The search also found cocaine, a precision scale, and a note with corresponding money amounts. The man has been placed under house arrest with an electronic monitoring bracelet.
