Messina municipality, competition for 100 local police officers: the announcement.
The Municipality of Palermo has announced a competition for 100 local police officers. It is a public selection process aimed at filling permanent and full-time positions in the field of instructors. To access the competition, a high school diploma is required. Applications must be submitted by May 18th.
THE NOTICE
Requirements
Candidates must meet the following general requirements: Italian citizenship or citizenship of one of the countries of the European Union or other categories indicated in the notice; age not less than eighteen years old; not have been dismissed by the Municipality of Messina, except in cases where the dismissal occurred following a procedure of availability or collective mobility, according to the regulations in force at the time; be in compliance with military service obligations for Italian citizens subject to them; have no physical limitations for carrying out activities and tasks; psycho-physical fitness; not have been excluded from active political suffrage; not have been dismissed from a previous public employment, dismissed or discharged from employment in a Public Administration for persistent inadequate performance; have not been convicted, with a final judgment, of crimes that constitute an impediment to employment in a Public Administration; not be in a disability condition under the law no. 68 of 12.03.1999.
Specific Requirements
Candidates must have the following specific requirements: high school diploma of five years; driver’s license category B; availability to carry and possibly use a weapon; availability to drive vehicles provided by the local police force (cars, motorcycles, mopeds, bicycles).
The Tests
If the number of applications submitted exceeds five times the number of positions offered, the Municipality of Messina will carry out a pre-selection test that will be exclusively conducted using remote computer tools and digital platforms. The test will focus on logical-mathematical, numerical, and reasoning skills and/or on the subjects specified in the notice through the administration of multiple-choice questions. Candidates will have to undergo a physical efficiency test to verify the necessary physical efficiency to perform the duties of a Local Police Officer. It will consist of consecutive exercises: pull-ups; running; push-ups; high jump. They will also have to take a written test which may consist of solving specific multiple-choice quizzes and/or answering a series of questions with a concise response. Finally, an oral test on the subjects of the written test. The commission will also evaluate service titles and the driver’s license.
How to Submit the Application
The application must be submitted by 12 noon on May 18th, exclusively online, by accessing the inPa portal.
