Mazara entrepreneur accused of fraud for claiming Covid subsidies and making employees work

The owner of a company in Mazara del Vallo, during the Covid emergency, is accused of using the wage integration scheme (designed for cases of suspension or reduction of work activity) even though the employees continued to work regularly. The 64-year-old man has been reported for aggravated fraud and material and ideological falsehood committed by a private individual in a public act, as part of a joint operation by the Carabinieri and INPS inspectors in Trapani.

Within the same commercial activity, it emerged that a 40-year-old woman, despite being formally employed, never actually worked, illicitly receiving benefits that are currently being assessed. The amount of unlawfully received sums would total over 13,000 euros, while the identified non-compliances have allowed for the recovery of over 150,000 euros in INPS contributions and penalties.

Lastly, administrative violations of nearly 35,000 euros were identified for past undeclared work relating to three employees.
