To promote community awareness actions
PALERMO, 14 JUL – Agrigento’s provincial and municipal health authority together to prevent and combat the phenomenon of gender-based violence with joint and integrated actions.
This morning, in the Palazzo dei Giganti, the extraordinary commissioner Asp Mario Zappia and the mayor of Agrigento Francesco Micciché signed a memorandum of understanding through which the two entities undertake, each according to the peculiarities of their lines of activity, to do network to promote community awareness actions, ensure adequate assistance, accompaniment and guidance to women in difficulty, guarantee protection and safety to victims of psycho-physical violence.
“A permanent consultation table has been foreseen – reads a note from the ASP – able to intervene promptly and professionally and constantly monitor the phenomenon through a data collection system on its consistency”.
