Group Rape at Foro Italico in Palermo, Judge Incompatible: Hearing Postponed

The hearing of the trial for the rape of a 19-year-old woman in an abandoned construction site of the Foro Italico in Palermo has been postponed to May 24th due to one of the judges in the panel being deemed incompatible. One of the judges had already participated in other stages of the proceedings. The defendants, who have been detained since last August, have waived the accelerated trial after the presiding judge rejected their investigative requests. For the group rape, the only suspect who was a minor at the time of the crime has already been separately convicted.
