Grandmother Annetta celebrates 100th birthday in Solarino: party at City Council.
New centenarian in Sicily. The important milestone was reached in Solarino by Annetta Patanè, who celebrated her 100th birthday visibly moved inside the Municipality. The woman was born in Siracusa and in recent years decided to move to Solarino where her son Raffaele and granddaughter Stefania live. Annetta Patanè has two other children, Claudio and Enzo.
Also present during the celebrations was the mayor of Solarino, Peppe Germano, who gifted the woman a bouquet of flowers. “I do not hide the emotion and pleasure I had in giving her a floral tribute on my personal behalf, on behalf of the Administration and certainly also on behalf of the community of Solarino,” said the mayor. “Together with friends and family, we toasted to Annetta and her first 100 years. Heartfelt wishes and many more of these moments.”
To date, she is the only centenarian residing in the municipality of Solarino.
