Francofonte: 75 kilos of drugs hidden underground – access from shower tray to bunker VIDEO
Discovered in Francofonte, in the province of Syracuse, an underground bunker used for the cultivation of marijuana. 119 plants and 75 kilograms of drugs ready to be packaged were seized and a man was arrested by the State Police officers of the Lentini police station. The police, after entering the property under inspection, with the help of police dogs, discovered that in the outdoor bathroom there was a shower plate that, specially activated by a button, allowed access to an underground room. Inside this sort of bunker, there were three compartments: a smaller one made from a metal container, equipped with an irrigation system and lamps for the cultivation of marijuana, with 119 plants already in bloom and ready for harvest.
In the other compartments, there were numerous kilograms of drugs left to dry for a total weight of 75 kilograms. The system, which served the bunker, was illegally connected to the power grid. The owner of the house, a 57-year-old man from Francofonte, already known to the police for being accused in the past of various crimes, including mafia association, was arrested for the production, trafficking, and possession of drugs.
