Elderly man robbed, suspects arrested after fleeing in stolen car in Trapani

The Carabinieri in Trapani have arrested two 25-year-old young men believed to be the authors of a robbery against an elderly man who had withdrawn 300 euros from an ATM on Via Piersanti Mattarella. The military executed a precautionary custody order against them. The robbers had threatened the victim with a knife and then fled in a stolen car. The Carabinieri were able to reconstruct the robbery and escape thanks to surveillance camera footage. The two arrested individuals have been placed under house arrest.
