Catania: Owner tries in vain to put out fire with extinguisher in Picanello villa
The firefighters of the provincial command of Catania intervened in the late afternoon today (April 24) in via Wrzì (civic number 96/98), in the Picanello neighborhood of Catania, for a fire in a villa. The bedroom of the house was mainly on fire, presumably due to accidental causes.
Upon arrival, the firefighters secured the site of the fire and proceeded with extinguishing it. The owner had tried to extinguish the flames with a fire extinguisher, but without success. A team of firefighters from the central headquarters, a backup tanker, a ladder truck, and the duty officer operated on site. There were no injuries or intoxications. Also present on site were personnel from the 118 emergency medical service and the carabinieri police station.
