A young man was injured yesterday afternoon in a shooting ambush along the road Carlentini – Lentini. The victim is a 22-year-old G.F. from Francofonte, already known to the authorities. According to a preliminary reconstruction by the Carabinieri, who are conducting the investigation, the young man was in his car when another car pulled up next to him. Several people were in the other car, one of whom was armed with a gun. The shots hit the young man in the leg. The victim was taken to the emergency room at the Lentini hospital but is not in danger of life. The incident occurred at the end of a football match between Carlentini and Francofonte at the Sebastiano Romano stadium. The Carabinieri have started investigating and, at the request of the magistrates of the Siracusa prosecutor’s office, have questioned the victim and collected all the necessary evidence to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the ambush and identify the perpetrator.
