Bronte warehouse fire destroys vehicles and equipment – PHOTOS
A vast fire, which occurred in a local garage just after midnight last night, between Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 April, kept the firefighters of the provincial command of Catania busy until the early hours of the morning. The fire developed on the ground floor of a two-storey villa used as a residential dwelling, located at 44 Kennedy Avenue in Bronte.
Inside the storage room that caught fire were work vehicles, excavators, cars, vans, and various equipment. On site, teams from the Adrano, Maletto, and Randazzo detachments worked, in addition to an aerial ladder and a tank truck sent from the central headquarters in Catania. After extinguishing the fire, the premises were secured and stability checks were carried out.
The causes of the fire are still being investigated. No injuries or intoxications were reported. The carabinieri of Maletto, Bronte, and Randazzo were also present on site, and have initiated an investigation.
