A Festive Day in Menfi, Accompanied by the “Blue Flag”

#Agrigento
Menfi, a town in western Sicily, celebrates receiving its 27th Blue Flag award for clean beaches. The mayor, Vito Clemente, expresses pride in the recognition, attributing it to the municipality’s commitment to constructing essential infrastructure, such as wastewater treatment plants. The mayor also reveals plans to reopen a road closed due to a landslide, with regional funding allocated for stabilization work. In terms of personnel, Menfi intends to rehire retirees and recruit new staff to address vacancies, particularly in the technical department. Additionally, various maintenance projects are underway along Menfi’s coastline, with volunteers and external organizations assisting.
