A desperate love story in Palermo: Tosca Amore musical by Lucio Dalla

For the first time in Sicily, “Tosca. Desperate Love”, the musical written and composed by Lucio Dalla, will be brought to the stage on April 20th at 9pm at the Jolly Theater in Palermo by the association Teatro e Vita, led by Giuseppe Celesia and Alberto Puglisi.

Celesia, who is also the director, will play Cavaradossi, while Puglisi, who handles the general organization, will play Scarpia. This is a musical that captivates the audience, thanks to the intertwining of betrayals and torments between the protagonist Tosca, in love with the painter Mario Cavaradossi, and the schemes of the villainous Baron Scarpia, chief of the papal police. The evocative setting of the city of Rome serves as a backdrop with suggestive video projections that emphasize the characters’ deep emotions and interact with them. Part of the proceeds will be donated to Airc.
