Algerian waiter in Palermo killed on via Roma: colleague under investigation remains in prison

The Court of Review in Palermo rejected the appeal filed by Ali El Abed Baguera, the Tunisian waiter accused of shooting and killing an Algerian employee, Badr Boudjemai, in his 40s. The Tunisian waiter has always claimed his innocence. The Algerian waiter was killed in downtown Palermo on the night of November 3rd. The entire scene was captured by surveillance cameras. The investigation is being coordinated by prosecutors Ennio Petrigni and Vincenzo Amico. The defense attorney claims that the images do not show the face of the killer and the timing does not match the Tunisian waiter’s work schedule. The murder occurred around midnight, whereas the Tunisian had left work at 11:45 pm.
