Major brawl in front of a store in Palermo, the chief of police issues the Curfew for ten people
The Police Chief of Palermo, Maurizio Calvino, has issued the measure “Dacur Willy” against 10 men, deemed responsible for serious behaviors that have disrupted public order and safety. The investigation leading to the issuance of these preventive measures was carried out by the Anticrime division of the Police Headquarters. These measures stem from an episode of violence that occurred on October 7, when the ten men were involved in a violent brawl outside a commercial establishment located in the Malaspina-Palagonia district.
The brawl, which escalated into serious acts of violence, saw all participants kicking and punching each other, using a stick, and endangering the physical safety of other customers of the establishment and passersby, with serious repercussions on public order and safety. Immediate investigations conducted by the Zisa Borgo Nuovo police station, through the comparison of images captured by surveillance systems on site and the viewing of images shared on social media, allowed for the reconstruction of the various stages of the brawl and the identification and reporting of the ten culprits to the judicial authorities.
The recipients of the measure have been prohibited by the Police Chief from accessing and frequenting the establishment where the events took place, as well as neighboring venues in the area affected by the brawl, from 6 pm to 5 am the following day, including holidays, as well as other adjacent streets.
The measures, lasting respectively three years for two of them, two years for three, and one year for five, are motivated by the need to prevent disorder in popular places of the Palermo nightlife scene, such as public establishments or venues.
