37-year-old man arrested in Syracuse while stealing equipment from construction site

Scoperto mentre ruba attrezzature in un cantiere edile, arrestato un uomo di 37 anni nel Siracusano

The Carabinieri of Syracuse have arrested a 37-year-old criminal suspect of aggravated theft in Solarino. The commander of the station and an officer from the local municipal police department intervened, while off duty, at a construction site where they noticed suspicious movements and found the entrance door had been broken into, and shortly after, caught the man leaving with a sack on his shoulders containing hammers and mixers for construction work.

The recovered equipment, valued at about a thousand euros, was returned to the rightful owner. The arrested individual, after the necessary procedures, was placed under house arrest in his residence, as ordered by the judicial authority in Syracuse.
