Water system failure halts crematorium operations in Palermo again

The crematorium in Palermo has experienced another stoppage, this time due to a water supply issue. After the second cremation on November 4th, operations had to be suspended to prevent further damage. The cremations scheduled for that day were postponed to Monday. Despite the satisfaction of visitors with the clean and respectable cemetery, the news of another suspension has caused concern. The municipal cemetery services assessor, Salvatore Orlando, has reassured the public that measures are being taken to ensure the continuous supply of water to the crematorium, so that operations can return to normal. A new crematorium is also being planned, with construction scheduled to begin in December. This new facility will provide modern services and eliminate the need for people to go outside of Palermo for cremations.
