The victim of the ambush this morning (April 25) in Vittoria is Roberto Di Martino, 62 years old, who was considered a member of the Dominante-Carbonaro clan in the past and was arrested in the Squalo operation 30 years ago. He had later become a collaborator of justice and had exited the witness protection program in 2021. Di Martino had just left his house in the area near the cemetery of Vittoria when a man approached his car and injured him with two gunshots to the neck and face. Di Martino managed to reach his brother-in-law’s house nearby and called the police. Immediately assisted, he was taken to the hospital. He is not in danger of death.
