Violence in Paternò: Street dispute turns bloody, two Tunisians injured.

Violence erupts once again in Paternò, where a dispute between two non-EU citizens has turned bloody. A heated argument between two Tunisians escalated when one of them pulled out a knife and stabbed the other, who tried to defend himself by injuring the attacker. Both individuals required medical attention and were taken to the hospital.

Upon their arrival at the hospital, the intervention of the carabinieri was requested to investigate the incident. The two individuals have been identified as irregular migrants in Italy and their legal status is currently under evaluation.

Investigations are ongoing to determine if this incident is connected to another stabbing that occurred a few weeks ago, when a 25-year-old Moroccan was attacked near Piazza Indipendenza and admitted to the hospital with knife wounds to his leg. In that case, the authorities found three intoxicated non-EU citizens with signs of recent physical altercation in an apartment after gathering information from witnesses.

However, the community of Paternò was shocked by a more serious incident in early February, when a 27-year-old Moroccan, Mouna Mohamed, was killed in front of a gas station on the outskirts of the city. The suspect, Issam Lahmidi, a 36-year-old compatriot, was arrested for the murder and apprehended in Milan as he attempted to board a train to France.
