Two Palermo residents arrested for robbery at a jeweler’s in Frazzanò.

Explain the following article briefly:

The Carabinieri of the Sant’Agata di Militello company carried out three arrests, two in prison and one under house arrest, in execution of a precautionary custody order issued by the judge at the Patti Court, against two Palermo residents, aged 30 and 32, and a young man from Frazzanò, aged 22, investigated for aggravated robbery, kidnapping, and personal injury. The three are alleged to be the perpetrators of a robbery, in January 2023, at a jewelry store in Frazzanò, a robbery that yielded 40,000 euros.

From the investigations, it emerged that the two alleged Palermo residents, with their faces disguised, had entered the jewelry store and, after assaulting the owner, had taken several pieces of jewelry, watches, and money. Before fleeing, the bandits had immobilized, tying the store owner’s hands and feet, who had nevertheless managed to activate the alarm system that allowed for the immediate intervention of the Carabinieri.

The subsequent phase of the investigations allowed for the reconstruction of the likely sequence of events and the alleged complicity of the 22-year-old from the area. According to the Carabinieri’s reconstruction, the young accomplice had visited the jewelry store before the robbery under the pretext of purchasing valuables. Once the purchase was completed, he had left the store, deliberately leaving the door open just as the robbers arrived, who entered the premises without any problems to commit the crime. The alleged accomplice, possibly in an attempt to mislead evidence of his involvement, had made a call to the Carabinieri upon leaving, without saying a word.
