Trapani health inquiry: Unpublished tender to facilitate managerial appointment

17 individuals are being investigated in Trapani in relation to the Aspide inquiry regarding local health services. 10 people have been detained, with accusations relating to corruption, revealing confidential information in public competitions and scholarship allocation, and even the soliciting of sexual favors from a woman during a driving license renewal procedure. The director of the health service is accused of favoring a colleague’s hiring, and also of inducing a woman into a sexual relationship in exchange for assistance with her license renewal. The president of the Trapani City Council is under house arrest for allegedly knowing the quiz content in advance for a special Covid emergency hiring procedure. Former Asp manager Fabio Damiani is also under house arrest, following a previous investigation in 2020.
