Serie C football club FC Trapani 1905 has cut ties with general manager Claudio Anellucci after he allegedly made derogatory remarks about the Italian national football team and its president and coach on Instagram. Anellucci denies making the comments, claiming someone posted them in his name. The club dissociated itself from his statements and said it would protect its image. Club president Valerio Antonini expressed his shock and disappointment at Anellucci’s comments, stating they do not reflect the club’s opinion. Anellucci has left Trapani and intends to take legal action to protect his reputation.
