Tragic accident on Vittoria-Scoglitti road: Woman lost her life, mourned with “Lisa, we will miss you dearly”

“It wasn’t supposed to happen. And I wasn’t supposed to see this news today. My friend, my heart is broken, rest in peace and watch over your children.” This is one of the many messages of sorrow that are being shared on social media for yet another victim of a road accident in Sicily. The victim was Lisa Rosso, a 47-year-old woman who lived in Acate and had two children.

The accident occurred on the provincial road 17, the Vittoria-Scoglitti. Two Fiat Pandas were involved, one of which was driven by the victim. The impact was very violent, the injuries that the forty-seven-year-old suffered were fatal and the paramedics could only confirm her death. The woman driving the other car was injured and taken to the Guzzardi Hospital in Vittoria, but her condition is not considered serious.

“What a pain,” writes friend Giovanna, “terrible news. A mother, a woman who loved her children, is no longer with us. We are in shock, dear Lisa, we can’t believe what happened. Know that we will never forget you and you will remain in our hearts.” And also: “Lisa, no, this can’t be. Rest in peace, my friend,” writes another friend, Vera.

“What an unfair life,” adds Marcella, “truly absurd what happened, unacceptable. I will always remember you with immense affection, Lisa, protect your children from up there as they now have to face this sad reality without you. Condolences to the family.” The carabinieri are conducting investigations into the accident and have carried out surveys at the scene to reconstruct the dynamics and establish responsibilities.
