Torregrotta: Worker dies instantly after falling from scaffolding

In Scala Torregrotta, in Messina province, a 50-year-old man, M.T, lost his life after falling from a scaffolding. The structure he was working on was on private property near Valdina. When the alarm was raised, emergency medical services arrived, but could only confirm the man’s death. The impact with the ground was violent, causing instant death. Carabinieri are investigating the incident to reconstruct what happened. Further investigations are being carried out regarding the worker’s employment situation to determine if all safety requirements were met. This is the second incident of its kind as another worker died in a similar accident in Sant’Elisabetta, Agrigento province, on September 3rd.
