Three people acquitted in alleged corruption case at the Municipality of Castellamare

#Trapani
The Trapani court has acquitted engineer Simone Cusumano and two businessmen, Antonio and Severino Caleca, along with engineer Antonino Stabile, who were investigated in relation to the Castellammare del Golfo case. The four were charged with corruption and acts contrary to official duty. The trial, which took place after a lengthy investigation, saw the prosecutor request acquittal for all defendants on both charges. The prosecution argued that Cusumano’s actions were in the exclusive interest of the municipality. The court case was initiated following the operation called “Palude 2” by the Guardia di Finanza.
