Three arrests for this summer’s fires in Trapani, including a forest ranger

The culprits of the fires in the province of Trapani this summer have been arrested. Three people, including a seasonal worker, a shepherd, and a convicted criminal, have been arrested for causing various fires in the area. The forest worker is accused of starting a fire in August that destroyed vegetation, vehicles, and other property. The 56-year-old has been placed under house arrest. The 49-year-old is accused of starting a fire in September and has a history of similar offenses, so he has been placed in prison. Another fire in October has been attributed to a shepherd, who has also been placed under house arrest. All three individuals have been identified and arrested thanks to witness testimonies and surveillance footage.
