Three activities suspended from entrepreneurs in Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto for illegal waste trafficking

Carabinieri in Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto, in the province of Messina, have suspended the business operations of three company owners for six months on charges of fraud in public procurement and illegal waste trafficking. The measure was issued by the court in Messina at the request of the prosecutor. According to investigators, an “illegal mixing of over 55 tons of waste” was confirmed. The carabinieri also carried out the preventive seizure of the companies and their social shares. The business will now be managed by a judicial administrator.
