Syracuse Incident: Woman Hit by Scooter while Crossing Road

Yesterday evening, an incident occurred on Lentini street in Siracusa. A woman was hit by a scooter while crossing the road. According to initial reports, the scooter was unable to stop in time and the owner, along with another person on the scooter, did not offer any assistance and instead fled the scene. Passersby immediately alerted emergency services upon witnessing the incident. An ambulance from the local medical emergency service arrived and provided first aid. Due to the severity of the injuries, the woman was transported to Umberto I hospital in Siracusa in critical condition. The individuals responsible for the incident later turned themselves in to the police and are already known to law enforcement.
