Strong earthquake hits off volcanic island of Stromboli

At dawn earthquake shock in the sea off Stromboli. It was strong enough but fortunately at a considerable depth: it was not felt by islanders and vacationers. It was magnitude 3.5, and it occurred at 06:27. The hypocenter was at a depth of 272.4 km. It was recorded by the operational room of the INGV in Rome. But due to the considerable depth, it was not felt by residents and holidaymakers.
