Stromboli: New volcanic overflow on upper Sciara del fuoco
The National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology has confirmed that lava overflow on the crater of Stromboli has resumed. A small lava overflow, fueled by one of the mouths in the northern crater area, has gradually formed, reaching a length of 30-50 meters. There is also weak spattering activity observed at the same mouth. In terms of seismic activity, there have been no significant changes in volcanic tremors, occurrence rate, or explosion-quakes. Data on deformation is currently unavailable. Recent measurements have not shown any significant variations.
