Sea Day in Palermo: Financial Police opens its aeronaval division to students
The aeronaval operational department of the financial police in Palermo, on the occasion of the celebrations for the Day of the Sea and Maritime Culture, opened its doors to high school students in the area. The Sicilian financial police organized numerous events, during which they illustrated to over 500 students the exclusive role of maritime police carried out by the financial police force.
During the meetings, the financial police showed the service results obtained during police operations, in order to stimulate in young students a greater sensitivity towards economic and financial legality linked to the sea. The students also had the opportunity to see first-hand the sophisticated equipment on board aircraft and naval units of the financial police, ask questions to the operating staff, and, in some cases, witness K-9 demonstrations, under the supervision of specialized personnel.
The event is part of the more articulated and national-scale events that the financial police force is organizing throughout 2024 to celebrate its 250th anniversary.
