Sant’Alfio sets ex-wife’s grandmother’s house on fire: arrested

A 30-year-old man from Giarre has been arrested for arson and stalking after setting fire to his ex-wife’s grandmother’s house when she refused to give him 60 euros. The man had been accused of harassing his 27-year-old ex-wife, and the investigation was initiated after she filed a complaint last summer. The man allegedly set the fire in retaliation for the refusal of money, and was found with two lighters at the scene. He has been placed in custody pending trial.
