Retired elderly traffic officer dies in hospital after falling while harvesting olives in Scordia

An 80-year-old retired traffic officer from Scordia, Italy, died yesterday evening at the San Marco Hospital in Catania. The man had fallen from a 4-meter-high loft while picking olives on Berlinguer Street in Scordia. His condition deteriorated rapidly, and he was transported to the hospital in an ambulance, where he unfortunately passed away a few hours later.
