Palermo: Thieves steal computer equipment from Civil Protection headquarters.

During the night between Friday and Saturday, thieves managed to break into the headquarters of the Sicilian Regional Civil Protection, despite the presence of two employees. They rummaged through lockers and drawers and stole computer equipment, as well as items from the vending machine. The employees reported the malfunctioning entrance door and expressed their concern for their safety. The unions are demanding increased security measures such as access control systems, surveillance cameras, alarm systems connected to the police, and external supervision. They also insist on having at least two operators per shift to ensure safety. If these measures are not implemented, they are willing to suspend night shifts in the operations room. The incident has raised serious concerns about the safety of workers and the importance of a secure work environment.
