Palermo still eyes Verona at home: Ceccherini on radar.

The birth of a market axis between Palermo and Verona is a decidedly plausible hypothesis: there is really little missing for the transfer of striker Thomas Henry to the rosanero, but sports director Morgan De Sanctis is also working to strengthen the defense and still looking at the profiles coming out of Verona, such as Federico Ceccherini.

After playing the last season on loan at Karagumruk, the former Fiorentina player is destined to leave Verona again: Palermo has included him in the list of profiles to strengthen the defense along with free agents Gyomber and Ferrari (the latter a step away from Cremonese) and Romagnoli from Frosinone. Ceccherini is not only liked by Palermo: Sampdoria has also included him among possible signings, given the difficulties in getting Romagnoli. An eventual arrival of the former Fiorentina player would accelerate the departures in defense: at least two of Nedelcearu, Graves, and Lucioni are destined to leave, at the moment the club’s priority is to move forward with the former captain of Frosinone.

Meanwhile, Dionisi is now ready to embrace Nikolaou, who is expected to sign today, and in the coming days will also welcome Henry and Fiorentina full-back Niccolò Pierozzi, for whom De Sanctis is finalizing the last details. Their signings are part of a decisive acceleration in the market in recent days, inaugurated by the arrival of Gomis in goal and aimed at correcting the weaknesses highlighted by the team in the previous season.
