Palermo inmate caught trying to bring drugs into prison

A detainee attempted to bring drugs into prison upon returning from a leave, but was caught by the prison police. The incident took place at the Ucciardone prison in Palermo, as reported by the autonomous prison police union (Sappe). After an investigation and with the help of a K-9 unit, it was suspected that the detainee was trying to smuggle drugs into the prison after taking a leave. The dog confirmed the suspicions and the man was found with 90 grams of hashish hidden in his rectum after a search.
