The Palermo defense is not exactly known for its solidity, conceding 38 goals in the season (1.31 per game), but it is the defense in Serie B that scores the most. With 9 goals scored this season: no one does better among the cadets according to Opta data. And in Serie A, only Inter does better with 14 goals scored, while Milan and Juventus have the same performance (9).

This record was achieved thanks to Ionut Nedelcearu’s goal against Lecco, which was decisive for securing the three points. Once again with a defender and always with a header, a method in which the Sicilians have scored more than 16 goals (no one in Europe does better).
