Palermo construction sites facing fines and charges for poor safety and undeclared work

In the past week, 18 companies in the construction, agriculture, and production sectors in Palermo and the province were inspected by specialized labor police. They found multiple violations related to worker safety, including lack of safety measures, medical exams, specific training, and personal protection equipment. They also discovered 10 undeclared workers out of a total of 22. The companies were fined a total of 590,991.00 euros, and 11 of them were suspended due to serious safety concerns. The inspections were carried out in collaboration with local authorities and will continue to ensure compliance with labor laws and worker safety regulations, especially during the upcoming holiday season.
