Palermo: Amat van stolen, worker thrown out while driving

In Palermo, a van belonging to Amat, the public transport company, was stolen with a worker inside who, along with other colleagues, was working in the Cep neighborhood repainting the pedestrian crossings. The thief threw out the worker and the van was later found empty by the police. The worker was hospitalized with injuries and fractures. The mayor of Palermo, Roberto Lagalla, expressed his condemnation of the incident and solidarity with the injured worker and other Amat employees who have been victims of recent attacks. Giuseppe Mistretta, president of Amat, stated that the team of workers was working on the signage for disabled parking spaces near a school in Cruillas when the theft occurred. He also emphasized the increasing number of thefts and attacks, expressing concern about the possibility of a tragic outcome. All incidents have been reported to the authorities.
